A variety of National Instruments C Series hardware is offered to expand existing channel counts using your own software or for use with software such as m+p international's SmartOfice or Vibrant Technology's ME'scope.
C Series Systems provide an effective combination of channel count, resolution, and speed designed to meet the needs of all types of voltage measurement applications. Select a chassis if required, and select from popular modules used for ICP accelerometers and microphones and more as well as traditional strain gages.
NI Part 779680-01; includes card only, perfect for expanding channel count on an existing system! Similar to the obsolete NI 9233. 4-Channel, 51.2 kS/s/channel, ±5 V, C Series Sound and Vibration Input Module—The NI‑9234 can measure signals from integrated electronic piezoelectric (ICP® or IEPE) and non‑ICP sensors such as accelerometers, tachometers, and proximity probes. The NI‑9234 is also compatible with smart TEDS sensors. The NI‑9234 delivers a wide dynamic range and incorporates software-selectable AC/DC coupling and ICP signal conditioning. The input channels simultaneously measure signals. Each channel also has built-in anti-aliasing filters that automatically adjust to your sample rate. When used with additional software, this module provides processing functionality for condition monitoring such as frequency analysis and order tracking.

New for 2018! 8-Channel, 51.2 kS/s/channel, -5 V to 5 V, C Series Sound and Vibration Input Module—The NI-9231 is a high-density sound and vibration module that can measure signals from integrated electronic piezoelectric (ICP® or IEPE) and non-ICP sensors such as accelerometers, tachometers, and proximity probes. It can perform the high dynamic range measurements necessary for modern measurement microphones and accelerometers and features simultaneous sampling. The NI-9231 incorporates both TEDS and 2 mA of sensor signal excitation source that can be turned on and off, removing the need for external sensor power / signal conditioning, and reducing the complexity of the data acquisition system.

C Series high-speed strain and bridge measurement module NI Part 779521-01. This module uses a high-density 10-pin RJ50 connector for each channel. The RJ50 connector is similar to the RJ45 connectors found on network cables except that it uses one more pair of signal wires for a total of 10. Using a network cable with the NI 9237 is not recommended because it could damage the extra pins on the module connector.
NI-9944 and NI-9945 are quarter-bridge completion accessories for 120 Ω and 350 Ω quarter-bridge sensors. These accessories are similar to the NI 9949 in that they are RJ50 female connectors on one end and screw terminals on the other end. Use these accessories with RJ50 cables.
The RJ50 is an industry standard connector and cable type; RJ50 connectors can be purchased from other vendors. Custom-length cables can be crimped and assembled with the proper tools. Alternately, National Instruments offers cables that are RJ50 male connectors on one end and split signal wires (also known as pigtails) on the other end.
Rental from The Modal Shop includes (qty 4) 2m RJ50 Cables NI Part 194612-02 used with completion or screw terminal accessories (NI-9244, 9245, 9949). Specify appropriate bridge completion accessory kits separately if required.
NI Part 194738-01. Completion accessory used with the NI-9237 card. Quarter-bridge completion for 120 ohm sensors. Allows direct connection with standard RJ50 jacks and provides strain relief platform for zip ties.

RJ50 to Screw Terminal Blocks (qty 4).
NI Part 196809-01. Used with NI-9237 card. The NI-9949 is a female RJ50 to 10-pin screw terminal adapter. It is strictly a connectivity accessory and does not contain bridge completion. Half- and full-bridge completion is provided by the NI-9237 simultaneous bridge C Series module. The NI-9949 kit contains four adapters, one for each channel on the NI-9237. This kit provides the easiest connectivity for the NI-9237.
