Test and Measurement Equipment Rental Inventory Expansion

CINCINNATI, OH (July 31, 2005) — THE MODAL SHOP, INC., a PCB Group Company, is now offering an expanded rental program, to include the latest sensor technologies of PCB Piezotronics, IMI Sensors, and Larson Davis, as well as other advanced modal instrumentation and monitoring products.

The TMS rental program offers multiple flexible options for both short-term and one-time rental of equipment, allowing for expanded testing capabilities at lower cost.  Products include PCB Piezotronics ICP® (IEPE), piezoresistive, charge output, TEDS, and capacitive accelerometers; signal conditioning products; strain gage technologies; measurement microphones and acoustic test equipment; calibration equipment; Larson Davis sound level meters, dosimeters, complete environmental kits; and data acquisition systems.  A broad line of test accessories is also available for rental, including shaker systems, signal conditioning, cables, and test supports.

Customers also benefit from the TMS Rental Equity program, which allows for rental payments to be applied toward the eventual purchase of equipment, with no down payments required at time of initial rental.

Notes TMS rental product manager, Bruce Lachey, “Our newly expanded rental program allows engineers with limited budgets to try the latest products before they purchase, as well as to expand existing channel counts on an as-needed basis.  However, the biggest benefit may be the expert application support available for rental customers from TMS’ experienced, helpful application engineering team.  Any question you need answered or application support you need while using our equipment is only a phone call or e-mail away.”

Most products included in the TMS rental program are available for overnight delivery.  In addition, an experienced network of leading university research laboratories and staff of technical consultants and applications engineers are also available to address specific requirements.  For more information on available products and services, please contact The Modal Shop at 513.531.9919, or e-mail
