The SmartShaker™ is a revolutionary innovation in electro-dynamic excitation. The small footprint exciters eliminate the bulk, weight and aggravation of the traditional companion 19 inch rack-mount power amplifiers by integrating solid state power amplifier electronics inside the shaker package. This Integrated Power Amplifier design concept follows the PCB Piezotronics® tradition of simplifying the test and measurement process by integrating the needed electronics, much like the original ICP® accelerometers miniaturized and moved the “charge amplifier” to inside the sensor package. The small overall size (3.6 x 3.5 x 5.3 in (9.1 x 8.9 x 13.5 cm)), weighing just 7 lbs, make it a new class of portable solution ideal for university test laboratories and general purpose benchtop vibration studies.
The modal shaker systems range from 13 lbf to 100 lbf rating. Each modal shaker features a through-hole armature with a chuck and collet stinger connection for easy setup and attachment to the test structure. With all the shakers weighing under 33 lbs, they provide excellent force to mass ratio with nearly half the weight and twice the force as other common modal shakers. These highly portable, rugged and easy to setup shakers are ideal for structural testing and experimental modal analysis applications, ranging from small electrical components to powertrain assemblies to large aircraft.
The innovative dual-purpose platform shaker systems integrate a through-hole armature design ideal for adapting stingers for modal applications into a traditional load-bearing platform shaker for vibration control applications.
