THE MODAL SHOP, INC., A PCB Group Company offers two versions of the calibration air bearing shaker to increase calibration accuracy by eliminating transverse motion which is the enemy of good quality calibration.
The Model K394A30’s and K394A31’s unique suspension system virtually eliminates transverse lateral motion and adjusts easily to calibrate a range of accelerometer sizes. No more rubber bands. This allows for more accurate and efficient results, particularly in rugged, frequent day-to-day use, as well as faster calibration cycle times versus other air bearing shakers. Both versions of the air bearing shaker utilize a ceramic air bearing combined with an ultra-stiff lightweight armature to essentially eliminate the transverse motion that plagues traditional shakers with flexure based armature suspension systems.
The K394A30 provides a frequency range of 2 Hz to 15 kHz and the K394A31 provides a range of 2 Hz to 20 kHz. Either shaker is available with The Modal Shop’s 9155D Accelerometer Calibration Workstation to provide a turnkey calibration solution. In addition, they can be integrated with an existing calibration system to increase accuracy and throughput.
