The Modal Shop can be your partner in a well-documented transducer calibration program. Many customers now implementing ISO 9001 quality measures realize the importance of keeping transducer calibration up-to-date and traceable.

Accelerometers

• NIST-traceable amplitude response calibration, from 10 Hz to upper 5% frequency. Available for both single axis and triaxial accelerometers.
• NIST-traceable, single-point (100 Hz) amplitude response calibration, for both single axis and triaxial accelerometers.
• Phase calibration from 10 Hz to upper 5% frequency, for both single axis and triaxial accelerometers.
• Low-frequency (0.5 to 10 Hz) phase and amplitude response calibration, for both single axis and triaxial accelerometers.
• We also provide the calibration of handheld accelerometer calibrators, including Models 394B06 and 394C06.

Impact Hammers and Force Transducers
We offer the following impact hammer and force sensor calibration services to help ensure you of accurate data.

• Complete hammer kit calibration (includes Series 086 impact hammer and kit accelerometer) for the 291B, 291C, and 291D series.
• Model 288D01 Impedance Head
• Model 208 Series Force Transducers
• Model 088A Modal Punch

Precision Condenser Microphones
The Modal Shop provides NIST-traceable calibration of precision condenser microphones, such as the Larson Davis, GRAS, and Brüel & Kjær brands. The open-circuit sensitivity and broadband, pressure response of 1/4", 1/2", and 1" diameter microphone cartridges are measured using a pistonphone, electrostatic actuator and reference microphone channel as part of an NIST-traceable project. The freefield (or random incidence) correction curves are applied (if applicable) to the calibration data.

Acoustic Calibrators
It is important to keep your pistonphone and speaker-type calibrators up-to-date, especially if this is your primary calibration method. The Modal Shop provides pistonphone calibration using NIST-traceable primary reference microphone channels. If the pistonphone output is out-of-specification, servicing is also available.
